Mr. Arar, I wish to take this opportunity to express publicly to you, to your wife and to your children how truly sorry I am

RCMP Commissioner Giuliano Zaccardelli made an apology to Maher Arar, said he was "truly sorry" for the ONE YEAR OF TORTURE this Canadian citizen endured.
It is unbelievable the Canadian government let this happen, and has not yet apologized.
The Harper government fails every time on Human rights issues. The one issue Harper has been steadfast and clear about is that he wants Canada to be part of the Global War Machine.
Harper's vision of Canada:
Our men killed for a cause few Canadians understand or support.
Torture of innocent citizens.

Drinking is Good!

There was this man who walked into a bar and says to the bartender 10 shots of whiskey.
The bartender asks, "What's the matter?"
The man says, "I found out my brother is gay and marrying my best friend."
The next day the same man comes in and orders 12 shots of whiskey.
The bartenders asks, "What's wrong this time?"
The man says, "I found out that my son is gay."
The next day the same man comes in the bar and orders 15 shots of whiskey.
Then the bartender asks, "Doesn't anyone in your family like women?"
The man looks up and says, "Apprently my wife does."

The 9/11 Gay Element

One of the many disturbing aspects of the 9/11 tragedy is the treatment of gay widows/widowers by the US government. New York State passed a measure that called on the federal government to include same-sex partners in their Federal relief programs. The Bush administration's response to gay survivors was to do nothing - they just left it to the discretion of the State's own probate laws. Gay survivors that were not New Yorkers were left with nothing.
When will our leaders start to understand that showing compassion to all groups will bring our fractured world together?

God to Ben XVI - stop the Gays!!!

What a relief to get some clarity.
God must have phoned Ben XVI and told him to put his Prada wrapped foot down. "In the name of 'tolerance' your country has had to endure the folly of the redefinition of spouse..." Ben entoned.

Maybe if we all had some real tolerance, we wouldn't be living in this Time of Terrorism.
