can't help lovin' That Man
Classic songs from the 20's and 30's sung by and "to" men! Int he thirties, copyright laws prevented singers form changing any lyrics, including even pronouns. So, these guys were forced to sing of their love of men, and they did with such gusto!! "In my Little Hope Chest" has a fey Queen dreaming of her treasured box with the "sweetest little bridal gown all tucked away, feathered slippers and the daintiest of lingerie" and of the day "my dream will pop up like a Jack in the Box"
Woah, how could anyone sing those lyrics with a "straight" face?
The album also includes one of the best versions of The Man I Love:
